Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed III would be released at the end of October
The announcement came during an earnings calls. Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, said that the game would be released on October 30th, and that the game has been in development for three years. It has been said that the next Assassin’s Creed game would complete the story of Desmond, the man that has been the main protagonist throughout all of the Assassin’s Creed releases.
The stories of Desmond’s ancestors Altair and Ezio have come to a close. Ubisoft has yet to make any sort of official announcement as to whose memories Desmond will be stepping into next.
No announcement has been made concerning which major systems would be getting this latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, but it’s safe to assume that the PS3, 360 and PC will all be getting it. At E3 last year, Nintendo announced that an Assassin’s Creed game would be coming to the Wii U, so perhaps that system will be seeing the next game, as well.
