Capcom Announces “Capcom Home Arcade” Retro Gaming Device
Capcom is getting into the retro gaming market just like Nintendo and SEGA recently did with their Classic Edition consoles. But how does a company who is marketing this for arcade games bring that feeling into your home? With their interesting “Home Arcade” machine.
The Capcom “Home Arcade” is essentially a plug and play system, and includes 16 pre-installed games from the CAPCOM CPS1 and CPS2 arcade ROMs with emulation by FB Alpha. What makes it extra nice is that two Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT joysticks with eight-way GT-Y directional gates and OBSF buttons will be included in the release, so two players can use this immediately without having to buy any more accessories. It does appear you will have to share that controller though, and there is no word yet on how wide it actually is.
Players will be able to access a Worldwide High Score Leaderboard via built-in WiFi. The system will connect to televisions via an HDMI cable and to a power supply via USB.

What I am most excited about is the game list, which has some serious heavy hitters on it:
944: The Loop Master
Alien vs. Predator
CAPCOM Sports Club
Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness
Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
Mega Man: The Power Battle
Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
Super Puzzle Fighter II: Turbo
The Capcom Home Arcade system is scheduled for release on October 25, and is available to pre-order in Europe for 229.99 euros, which converts to roughly $260 USD. No word on a US release date yet, but I would not be shocked to see this come around Holiday season 2019.
