Our Farewell to Toys ‘R’ Us

For 70 years, Toys ‘R’ Us was not just a chain of stores – it was a way of life. In this video, Andrea and Matthew talk about the closing of Toys ‘R’ Us, its downfall and final days, talk about our final trip to the store, what we will miss most about this extinct franchise, and say goodbye to one of our favorite places. It was a tough video for us to make and we held back a lot of emotions that all came out after the cameras were turned off, but if you are anything like us, you probably have some very strong feelings about this store going out of business too. Post your favorite memories about TRU in the comments below, and help us remember the best times about this place – and most of all, remind ourselves that we don’t have to grow up to forever be Toys ‘R’ Us Kids.

Sgt. Slaughter Figure Review – WWE Flashback Series

On this episode of The Wrestling Figure Historian, we continue our look at Wal-Mart’s WWE Flashback basic series by spotlighting Sgt. Slaughter. This was a unique time for Slaughter as a heel and led to a big feud with both The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan, and garnered him this very unique figure from Mattel.

What storyline does this figure fit into, and whatever happened to the Atomic Noogie? Watch the video to find out.

Check out the video to see why we are raving so much about it!

New Trailer for “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” Arrives

The first official full trailer is out for the upcoming animated movie “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2,” and things are getting weird from the start. We are taking exploding bunny weird. Check out the video above to see what we mean!

“Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the netizens—to help navigate their way, including a webite entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.”

Directed by Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph”) and Phil Johnston (co-writer “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Cedar Rapids,” co-writer “Zootopia,”), and produced by Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Bolt”), “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-Ralph 2” hits theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.

NY Toy Fair 2018: Ultimate Co-Pilot Chewie

Our friends at RageWorks attended the illustrious Hasbro event during NY Toy Fair 2018, and saw many things we were not privy to. One of the most unique and certainly coolest things that popped up was this, the electronic “Ultimate Co-pilot Chewie” toy.

This version of Chewbacca stands 16 inches tall and features more than 100 sound and motion combinations. With signature Wookiee-talk back interaction, the Ultimate Co-Pilot Chewie responds to external movements and sounds. Make a noise and the Ultimate Co-Pilot Chewie will roar back! Fans can enjoy everything from naptime to pretending to fly with their Wookiee sidekick.

Check out this video to see what this wookiee can do!
