Crytek and Albert Hughes Announce “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3”

Electronic Arts Inc. and developer Crytek GmbH announced today a creative partnership with filmmaker Albert Hughes to produce an online video series inspired by the upcoming shooter, Crysis 3, called The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3. The cinematic series will serve as a precursor for the next installment into the Crysis series; introducing new game-play features, weapons and enemies to the franchise.  On top of that, these shorts will also showcase new visuals and dynamics of the urban rain-forest environment the fans of adaptive warfare can expect from Crysis 3 when the game ships in February of 2013

Electronic Arts boasts Crysis 3 advances the state of the art with unparalleled visuals and dynamic shooter game-play powered by Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE. Players will take control of ‘Prophet’ as he returns to New York only to discover that the city has been encased in a Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. The New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rain-forest covered in overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the dome, seven environments become known as the 7 Wonders where advanced tactics and weapons will be key to survival. Among those weapons are the alien weaponized Predator bow and the Nanosuit, equipping the player with superhuman powers like cloaking, armor and enhanced visor abilities to help players assess, adapt and attack enemies in this pseudo urban environment they find themselves in.

The debut episode of “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3” entitled “Hell of a Town” will debut on December 12, 2012. Developed by Crytek and powered by CryENGINE technology, Crysis 3 will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC.
