NECA Reveals First SDCC 2019 Exclusive – TMNT “Capture of Splinter” Pack

San Diego Comic Con 2019 is getting closer each day, and the announcements of exclusives have just been getting started. Today, NECA revealed their first show special, an amazing four-pack of seven-inch figures from the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, “The Capture of Splinter”.

Check out tons of images below along with some info:

Here is their official description:

To keep up with tradition, we are happy to announce our first #SDCC2019 Exclusive, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 Movie) – 7” Scale Action Figure – “The Capture of Splinter” 4-Pack!

After wading in a puddle of radioactive waste, four ordinary reptiles become more than just turtles, and are raised by the similarly transformed rat Splinter to become New York City’s greatest crime-fighting quartet. Their biggest enemy—and Splinter’s nemesis—is The Shredder, ruthless leader of the Foot Clan, a criminal organization that’s terrorizing the city. Yet is only after Splinter is captured by the Foot that the Turtles learn how far back his feud with Shredder goes…

This epic box set recreates the “Capture of Splinter” scene from the 1990 movie in 7” scale, all the way down to the in-box positioning! The set includes Splinter (with cloth robe), Shredder (with cloth cape), and two Foot soldiers, plus plenty of extras: manacles, a cardstock crate, and a weapons rack for storing all the Foot clan accessories.

Slipcase over window box packaging.

Be on the lookout for our next reveal coming on Saturday, May 25th.

No price has been announced yet for this pack, but last year the movie set was around $200. I expect this one to be around the same, but likely a bit higher due to inflation and the sheer number of larger accessories. Don’t be surprised if this hits $225 or $250 thanks to that weapons rack.

Last year, some sets were available before SDCC due to a limited online sale, but no word was mentioned about that yet. Stay tuned for more info as it comes out, as well as more SDCC 2019 exclusives to be announced by NECA and others in the coming weeks.
