Ninja Paid $1 Million By EA To Stream “Apex Legends”

Tyler Blevins, known to most by his streaming name “Ninja”, has got the biggest following of video game lovers on his channel. His influence is enormous and his reach is unimaginable. It makes perfect sense companies would want to bring him in to play and promote their games, but who knew he could pull in this much for one day!

According to an anonymous source who spoke to Reuters, the 27-year-old gamer was paid a whopping $1 Million USD to stream “Apex Legends” on Twitch during launch day by the game maker, EA.

The game debuted on February 5, and many other streamers quickly got in on the action. The majority did it because the game is just plain awesome, but it is undeniable that without a streamer like Ninja getting in on it during launch day, the game would have certainly take more time to pick up steam.

Representatives from EA and for Ninja declined to comment on how much he had been paid on the record, but the amount named by the source is more than twice media reports of Ninja’s monthly earnings from what he makes when he typically streams things like “Fortnite”.

EA also paid popular Polish-Canadian streamer “Shroud,” who has nearly six million Twitch followers, to play Apex Legends but declined to disclose the terms of the deal.

“Apex Legends” is being considered as the “Fortnite” killer by many, and has been battling hard to take over the battle royale gaming sector.
