Ubisoft and New Regency partner for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Film

Ubisoft Motion Pictures announced today they’ll be developing the Splinter Cell movie in close collaboration with New Regency. Ubisoft also recently announced it attached award-winning actor Tom Hardy and up-and-coming screenwriter Eric Warren Singer to the film.  This deal is separate from but builds upon the recent partnership between Ubisoft and New Regency to develop the Assassin’s Creed® film.

Capcom releases Eye of Dante free app

Capcom announced today the release of The Eye of Dante, a free app developed in collaboration with Augmented Reality experts Aurasma, to support the release of DmC: Devil May Cry™. The Eye of Dante will reward users with in-game currency that can be redeemed within the menu of the console versions of the game when DmC: Devil May Cry launches in North America and Europe on January 15, 2013.

Crytek and Albert Hughes Announce “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3”

Electronic Arts Inc. and developer Crytek GmbH announced today a creative partnership with filmmaker Albert Hughes to produce an online video series inspired by the upcoming shooter, Crysis 3, called The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3. The cinematic series will serve as a precursor for the next installment into the Crysis series; introducing new game-play features, weapons and enemies to the franchise.  On top of that, these shorts will also showcase new visuals and dynamics of the urban rain-forest environment the fans of adaptive warfare can expect from Crysis 3 when the game ships in February of 2013
