Holy expletive Pokemon fans! We just heard Pikachu curse in the latest trailer for “Pokemon Detective Pikachu”!
Warner Bros released a new trailer today that gives us more of a backstory to Pikachu, who is voiced by Ryan Reynolds. We also get a better look at many of the other Pokemon who populate this world (Mewtwo!). Most importantly, we learn what it looks like when a Pikachu says a swear word.
Check out the new trailer below:
Sure, it’s not an F-bomb, and we have heard Ryan Reynolds say far worse in any Deadpool movie. But for Pikachu to drop an expletive is quite the shocker.
The movie is actually still not rated by the MPAA, but look for it to likely be a PG rating. The hold-up on a rating may be WB trying to see if they can drop it to a G rating.
If you like this, you will love our look at the Detective Pikachu toys from Wicked Cool Toys coming out later this Spring, seen during Toy Fair 2019.
POKÉMON Detective Pikachu arrives in theaters on May 10, 2019.
