THE LOYAL SUBJECTS LAUNCHES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH BANDAI

The Loyal Subjects™ (TLS) – a collectible toy company – is excited to announce the launch of a partnership with Bandai America which will turbo-charge TLS’ expansion across the retail landscape.

TLS’ signature Action Vinyls™ are a hybrid comingling of stylized features, artful and detailed deco from the Designer/Art Toy/Vinyl world, and the pose-able dexterity found in Action Figures; hence “Action Vinyls” – a cool “Vinyl-like” collectible with “Action” in the form of pose-ability and accessories. The figures stand at about 3.25”, have up to 15 points of articulation, are accompanied by a collector card, and have interchangeable accessories. TLS pays homage to its collector base by including rare figures and “Easter eggs” in its product lines.

TLS is a Universe Without Borders™. From the first Action Vinyls offering, TLS’ vision has been to create a world with no rules, just synergistic fun and collaborative
comingling. So an accessory from He-Man™ can also fit the hands of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™, and a hero from Megaman™ can battle a villain from Thundercats™ – the walls have been torn down, and the inmates have taken over! Not all collectible figures are treated equal, unless they’re from TLS. TLS has sold millions of units worldwide and Action Vinyls are a toy industry disruptor.

“TLS and Bandai truly believe we can build a $100 million dollar brand together,” said Jonathan Cathey, The Loyal Subjects’ Founder/CEO and President. “All the key ingredients are there – quality, fun, accessibility, story-telling, creativity, and artful execution. We are seeing an increasing desire to join the TLS mission by collectors from all corners of the globe, and an explosive interest in the application of pop culture to the TLS army building experience. It’s a perfect recipe, and we look forward to building significantly at retail to showcase our unique, beloved, and killer quality format – Action Vinyls. With the Bandai and TLS partnership, sky’s the limit.”

Added Michael Ciminera, Bandai America’s Senior Vice President, Sales, “Vinyl collectables is a huge growth category in the industry right now. We believe TLS brings a unique product to the market with their Action Vinyls and robust licensing line up. We are thrilled to be able to help grow this brand at retail.”

TLS is stacked with a wide range of popular and evergreen licenses crossing all genres: Anime, TV, Movie, Super Hero, Classic and Nostalgia, Horror, Fantasy, Cartoons, Video Game, Mobile Game, and Action Adventure. TLS is set to release a variety of offerings each quarter, including online and convention exclusives. TLS products are currently sold in a wide range of retailers including Hot Topic, GameStop, Target, Walmart, Box Lunch, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, FYE, 7-Eleven, Walgreens, and independent toy, hobby and comic book stores.

NY Toy Fair 2016: Power Rangers figures, Megazords & Props – VIDEO

Bandai was well represented at NY Toy Fair 2016, and unveiled a load of new items for their vast Power Rangers line, ranging from the new TV show, “Power Rangers Super Dino Charge”, to their “Power Rangers Legacy” line.

In this video, we learn about the action figures for the new TV show, as well as the Legacy figures. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to film the new Legacy figures, but I can tell you that they are light years beyond the movie figures that the company released last year and fans will be extremely happy with them. Additionally, we also see the new Thunder Megazord and each of the zords, as well as new communicators and morphers from the show.

Also shown was the Ninja Megazord, but photos were prohibited since they did not have it at the show, and instead had a placeholder which will not represent the final product.

In this video, we get a walk through of the new roleplaying items, weapons, and zords from the “Power Rangers Super Dino Charge” series. Learn about all the new things you can do with these toys, as well as how the zords will work, combine, and play, along with how the Dino Chargers will affect them.

NY Toy Fair 2016: HEROCROSS Justice League & TMNT figures – VIDEO

Herocross figurations have been a strong line for the Japanese company, with figures from Star Wars, Aliens, Predator, and Robocop already selling well. At NY Toy Fair 2016, the company showed off their newest series, which includes mini-stylized versions of figures for the upcoming “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice” film and signature version of DC Comics favorites with over 20 points of articulation, accessories, and other unique features that make this a very cool line.

Also debuting were Herocross versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which might become my very first Herocross toys that I own once they are released.

Bandai reveals “Dragon Ball Z” LEGO-style mini-figures

Just in time to get your holiday wish list ready for next year, Bandai has revealed a line of Dragon Ball Z Figmes, which is their version of Lego mini-figures.

The first line of Akira Toriyama’s world-famous Manga characters includes mini-figures of Goku, Super Saiyan Son Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Frieza and Cell. We can already start dreaming about future waves, and based on how good these look, I am certain we are not too far away from at least two more waves before the end of 2016. Perhaps this could also mean playsets in the future, such as the Kame House, or… any one of the dozens of barren deserted areas that they usually fight in.

The Dragon Ball Z Figme figures are scheduled for release in March 2016 in Japan, and are priced at 500 yen, which converts to around $4 USD.

We got a special sneak peek inside the Ban Dai booth at NY Toy Fair 2014 of the new “Power Rangers: Super Megaforce” toy line, as well as some other awesome MMPR figures and vehicles!

Kicking things off with the new TV show, “Power Rangers: Super Megaforce” has all sorts of new zords and roleplaying items, as well as a new line that features ALL of the classic Power Rangers from across the universe, along with special keys that you can scan on your smart phone to play a game with, or use on other items in the line for additional effects.

We also have new highly articulated Green Ranger and White Ranger toys in a great scale, a Legendary edition Dragon Dagger that is 24 Karat gold-plated and that you can play like a flute without putting your mouth on it, and at last – the Dragonzord! And yes, he can combine with the Megazord to make the Dragon Megazord… oh, and a little zord named Titanus that also joins with those two to make the Ultra Dragon Megazord. No big deal. Now, excuse me while I get a towel.
