Justice League Pinmates – Blind Box Unboxing & Review

Bif Bang Pow – WTF M8?

In this Mystery Figure Monday review, we unbox the Justice League Pinmates from Bif Bang Pow. These boxes were supposed to feature characters from the iconic looks of these DC comics characters. What we got instead was… well, you will have to watch and see, and possibly revel in our pain and confusion.

We can’t condone ordering any blind boxes from this line at this time, but we will suggest if you like these, try ordering some of their multi-packs, like this Justice League four-pack with Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Cyborg – https://amzn.to/2NxDr2T

Or this very cool Hall of Justice set, that includes Superman and Bizarro with a two-sided diorama – https://amzn.to/2uGc1Rx

NY Toy Fair 2016: DC Collectibles Video Tour – Batman, Suicide Squad, DC Icons, and more

As mentioned before, my microphone began to have some issues during the last leg of this event, which led ultimately to its demise. Please excuse any scratchy audio, I did my best to make it tolerable when I could, and I can promise that this problem will not happen again.

Jim Fletcher takes us on our annual tour of the DC Collectibles booth with the usual laughs and silly nonsense that you have come to expect from us. In this first video, we look at the newest statues from DC Direct, including the amazingly lifelike statues from the new “Suicide Squad” film, including Harley Quinn, The Joker, Deadshot, Killer Croc, Kitana, and Captain Boomerang. We also see the new statues for “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice”, with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

Additionally, check out the new statues and figures from DC TV, including Flash, Arrow and Supergirl. Stay tuned until the end to see the new prop replica of Captain Cold’s freeze gun, which we try to test and see if it really works.

In our second video, we see the great new line for the Harley Quinn comic series, which hardcore fans will certainly love. Also for the hardcore DC fans, the continuation of their DC Icons figures, which features new version of the John Stewart Green Lantern, Static, Firestorm, Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman, The Joker from “The Killing Joke”, Cameron Stewart style Batgirl and her motorcycle, a deluxe version of Cyborg and the enormous Darkseid figure. Plus, the new accessory packs for this line that are good enough that even casual fans might want to invest in these.

Lastly, the newest figures from the hit video game, “Batman: Arkham Knight”, which Jim assures is far from over yet, and now includes Oracle, Poison Ivy, vacation Joker, Harley Quinn and Batgirl.

Finally, in our last video, we spotlight all of the new offerings from the “Batman: The Animated Series” line, which includes a new version of the Batmobile, Christmas Joker, Harley Quinn, a five-pack with the ladies of DC animated (Livewire, Batgirl, Supergirl, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy), The Demon, Ras Al Ghul and his daughter Talia Ghul, the Ventriloquist, Batman Beyond, Frank Miller style Batman, Carrie Kelly Robin and Mutant Leader, Harvey Bullock, and more. Plus, check out the huge new Batwing which has to be seen to be believed!

NY Toy Fair 2016: Mezco Toyz booth tour – One:12 Collective, Marvel, DC, Mortal Kombat – VIDEO

Mezco Toyz may have just set a new standard in excellence when it comes to six-inch action figures, and when you see this video with their new One:12 Collective line, you might say the same.

We already covered Mezco extensively at their pre-Toy Fair press event, so if you want to see much more details about all of their figures, especially the One:12 Collective, you should check out our post here, which also features all of these toys out in the open and not behind glass.

At NY Toy Fair, the company debuted their first big 1/12 scale vehicle (excluding the Lawmaster motorcycle), the Batmobile from “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice”. This was teased before the event, but seeing it in person is something else. We also see their six-inch figures from Marvel, DC, Star Trek, and a few other licenses.

We also learn more about what is next for this growing line of figures, and I expect very big things from Mezco as the year goes on.

Our second video with them takes a look at some of their other figures, including items from Mortal Kombat, Gigantor, Beetlejuice, Batman Returns, Hellraiser, Child’s Play, and their Living Dead dolls.

NY Toy Fair 2016: DC Multiverse figures – VIDEO

As part of the Matty Collector event at NY Toy Fair 2016, Mattel showed off their next line of DC Multiverse figures. Included in this new wave is the Mutant Leader and armored Batman from Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight Returns”, The Joker, a Doomsday Superman hybrid that I do not know the name of at this time (but feel free to let me know in the comments), figures based on the TV show versions of Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl, and a massive spoiler in the way of Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor from “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice” with no hair and in prison clothes. So, anyone complaining about Lex having hair in the film can STFU now. The build-a-figure in this line will be the giant Doomsday figure seen here.

Also on the way but previously shown are more from “The Dark Knight Returns” including Batman, Superman, and one of Batman’s soldiers.

NY Toy Fair 2016: “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice” figures & dolls – VIDEO

Mattel is more than ready for DC’s summer blockbuster, “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice”, and at Toy Fair 2016 showed off toys and dolls from the film.

As part of the six-inch line, we will see versions of the titular characters, along with Wonder Woman, Aqua Man, and two other versions of Batman – armored Batman, and the desert-style Batman. The film will also be getting the Barbie treatment, with Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman all getting dolls. Lastly, 12-inch figures with limited articulation will also be available of the DC trinity.

There was plenty more “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice” toys and statues at NY Toy Fair, including the ones seen at DC Direct’s booth.

NY Toy Fair 2016: LEGO DC Comics & Star Wars Sets – VIDEO

LEGO is the original leader in brick construction sets, and the amount of licenses they have under their umbrella continues to grow at NY Toy Fair 2016.

This year, we were able to take a look at several of their licenses, including their DC Comics sets above. New sets from “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice” join their collection, along with micro sets of famous DC characters in tiny cars that will be great for collectors of all ages.

In part two, we take a look at their newest Star Wars sets, which includes new construction sets from the original trilogy, Disney XD’s “Rebels”, and the newest show in the franchise, “The Freemaker Adventures”. There are some great items in this line, including some huge vehicles and sets. Not seen at this event was their massive set for the Battle of Hoth from “Empire Strikes Back”, which has to be seen to be believed.

Also shown (but not caught on video due to timing) were new sets from Captain America: Civil War, the upcoming Angry Birds movie, a new series of blind bag mini-figures, and more from their Nexo Knights and Ninjago series.

Batmobile from “Batman VS Superman” at NY Play Fair 2016

NY Toy Fair is a closed doors event, open only to industry professionals. To try and open the event up to the public, Play Fair 2016 debuted, which was a family-friendly toy event with activities and other fun things happening throughout the two day mini-event.

One of the highlights was the Batmobile from “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice” in the center of the showroom, and we wanted to make sure that those of you who could not make it had a chance to see this bad boy. Here is the enormous assault vehicle from all angles, so take a look and let us know how amazing this is when you can see all of the details.

NY Toy Fair 2016: HEROCROSS Justice League & TMNT figures – VIDEO

Herocross figurations have been a strong line for the Japanese company, with figures from Star Wars, Aliens, Predator, and Robocop already selling well. At NY Toy Fair 2016, the company showed off their newest series, which includes mini-stylized versions of figures for the upcoming “Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice” film and signature version of DC Comics favorites with over 20 points of articulation, accessories, and other unique features that make this a very cool line.

Also debuting were Herocross versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which might become my very first Herocross toys that I own once they are released.
