William Shatner appeared in two episodes of the original “Twilight Zone”, “Nightmare at 20,000 feet” and “Nick of Time”, and was asked by a fan at Big Apple Comic Con 2019 what his thoughts were on the upcoming reboot hosted by Jordan Peele.
Shatner told a few stories about his time on the show and about Charlie Beaumont, and his thoughts on the return of anthology programs coming back into popularity.
David Gerrold is known as the man who created Tribbles, since he was the writer of the famous Star Trek episode “The Trouble with Tribbles”. During Big Apple Comic Con 2019, one fan asked if he had a favorite part during this episode, and it turns out he does – and it involves Scotty!
Brent Spiner talks about an interesting episode of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” called “The Most Toys”. The episode featured Saul Rubinek, and Spiner tells the tragic story about how Rubinek replaced Michael Rappaport to take that role.
A fan at Big Apple Comic Con 2019 was dressed as a handmaiden from Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale”, and was part of the audience at the William Shatner panel. While asking a question during this panel, Shatner asked who she was dressed as, which led to a brief explanation of what the series is about.
This ultimately led to Shatner going off on a tangent about how he and his generation do not understand modern feminism.
Eventually, the audience member was able to ask her question, but you can hear that in our full panel video.
