Diamond Select ‘Ghostbusters’ Wave 3 Review

ICYMI here are all three of the figure reviews from the third wave of Diamond Select’s ‘Ghostbusters’ line. This video includes my opinions on Quittin’ Time Ray Stantz, Janine Melnitz, and Slimer. This was not the strongest wave for me since the inception of this series, so is it still worth picking up? Check out the video review above to find out!

Diamond Select ‘Ghostbusters’ Slimer Figure Review

‘He slimed me!’

One-half of the most famous line in the entire movie, Slimer joins Diamond Select’s ‘Ghostbusters’ line as part of wave three. How does onionhead stack up with the rest of the series, and is he good enough to join your collection or should he be left in the containment unit?

Check out the video review above to help you decide!

Diamond Select ‘Ghostbusters’ Janine Melnitz Figure Review

The secretary of the Ghostbusters and love interest of Egon Spengler (and later Louis Tully), Janine Melnitz joins Diamond Selects fantastic ‘Ghostbusters’ line of action figures. How does this version of the bespectacled secretary fit in with the rest of the series and is she worth picking up? Check out the video review to find out!

Diamond Select ‘Ghostbusters’ Quittin’ Time Ray Figure Review

Ray Stantz gets his second figure as part of the third wave of Diamond Selects Ghostbusters line. I have been a big fan of this series so far, but wave three presents some problems for me, starting with a re-deco of a figure from the first wave. This version of Ray has me on the ropes, so check out what I like and didn’t like in this video review.

Marvel Animated Minimates Series 3 Revealed

Diamond Select Toys is rolling out Series 2.5 of its Marvel Animated Minimates collection, the latest assortment of an exclusive mini-figure line now available only at Walgreens stores. That means it’s time to officially announce the next assortment in the line! This upcoming wave of figures from Diamond Select Toys features all-new two-packs from Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble, including Super Heroes, Super Villains and the first-ever Minimate of Marvel’s breakout star, Squirrel Girl!
Series 3 will hit in Fall of 2016, and will include four different two-packs, each containing two 2-inch Minimates mini-figures. The assortment includes:

– From Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man, the alternate-universe Spider-Man Noir pairs up with Itsy Bitsy Spider-Man! Spider-Man Noir has a removable hat and coat, and Itsy Bitsy Spider-Man includes an alternate head with a new facial expression. This is the first Marvel Minimate ever made of Spider-Man Noir.

– Also from Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man, a more grown-up Jet Pack Spider-Man teams up with one of New York City’s greatest Super Heroes, Squirrel Girl! Jet-Pack Spider-Man comes with a removable jet pack, flame stand, alternate head and thumbs-up hand, while Squirrel Girl comes with three squirrels and two burritos! This is the first Marvel MInimate ever made of Squirrel Girl.

– From Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, an updated Season 3-accurate Captain America will face off with Squadron Supreme member Hyperion. Captain America will include his shield, an alternate hair piece and an interchangeable shield hand, and Hyperion will include a flight base. This is the first Marvel Minimate ever made of Hyperion.

– Also from Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, Falcon teams up with Ant-Man. Both characters’ helmets are removable, and Falcon features removable wings, while Ant-Man comes with an interchangeable hair piece.

Each 2-inch Minimates mini-figure features fully interchangeable parts, so you can trade accessories and create custom looks. Minimates also feature a standard 14 points of articulation, to strike a variety of poses, and each Minimate comes with a clear disc base that pegs into the character’s foot to support dynamic poses.

Look for Series 3 to arrive in all Walgreens stores in Fall 2016. Series 2.5 is shipping to stores now, with SHIELD Armor Spider-Man and Man-Thing, Spyder-Knight with Power Man, Thor with Nighthawk, and Iron Man with Power Princess! Find your nearest store at Walgreens.com!

Diamond Select Toys ‘Ghostbusters’ Wave 2 Review

Interested in the second wave of the Ghostbusters figures by Diamond Select Toys, but too lazy to watch every separate video I slaved over for your enjoyment? Well, you are in luck, since I made this convenient review video above that has all three figure reviews in one spot, along with a few other comments about Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler and Dana Barrett.

Check it out to hear my thoughts on this wave and whether or not you should pick it up too!

Diamond Select Ghostbusters Egon Spengler Review

Egon Spengler enters the fray, as Diamond Select has released Harold Ramis’ iconic character from ‘Ghostbusters’ in wave two of their awesome figures.

Wave two completes the set of the four busters, but how does Egon hold up? Is he good enough to buy or should you leave him to rot with the spores, molds, and fungus on the toy store shelves? Check out the review to find out.

Diamond Select ‘Ghostbusters’ Dana Barrett Review

Are you the keymaster?

Diamond Select Toys ‘Ghostbusters’ line continues here in the second wave with a possessed version of Dana Barrett. This lady who sleeps above the covers (four feet above the covers) joins Egon Spengler and Peter Venkman in this line-up, and is the first female figure to join the series.

The last time we saw a version like this was an SDCC exclusive from Mattel, which seriously lacked articulation. While this version improves that, it is not without a few flaws. Check out the video above to see my review of it!
