Why The Avengers are Wearing The White Suits in “Avengers: Endgame”

We have seen it all over the place, from the trailers to the action figures and even the LEGO sets. The Avengers have white suits in the upcoming “Avengers: Endgame” movie, but the question remains – why? We finally have an answer for the purpose of these costumes, and why they are so important.

“We call them the team suits,” Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige explained to io9. “And we early on decided [revealing them] was a big differentiating factor between [Endgame] and the other films. The Avengers have never had matching outfits before, [so] we thought it was a very intriguing image to see something that made this film feel new.”

“[We had to] make it feel more than just Infinity War II. Because it’s not,” he continued. “Those team suits add something fresh to it. As does Hawkeye, as does Captain Marvel. As does Scott Lang.”

Do the suits serve any purpose other than aesthetics? That is something we still don’t have an answer to, but this is at least a start.

A theory that is going around now is that the function of the suits is actually for time travel! They are linked back to “Ant-Man and Wasp”, as the tech to make these suits is similar to what Scott Lang’s suit is made of. There’s even a line in Ant-Man and the Wasp about a time vortex in the Quantum Realm, which has made many fans call these outfits “Quantum Realm Suits”. This theory continues that by wearing these suits, the team can travel through time and not be affected by altering reality. Does this mean they could stop “the finger snap” because of these suits and some other yet to be revealed technology?

In the last trailer for the film, we saw the entire new team of Avengers walking around in these suits, minus Rocket and Thor (although these toys claim they will be wearing them). While I prefer the individual outfits, I can see the reasoning behind this and am curious to see them function.

I also wonder if Tony Stark will have a repainted Iron Man armor to match his teammates, since Rhodey’s War Machine armor seems to have these colors in the trailer.

“Avengers: Endgame” hits theaters on April 26.

Marvel Comics’ “What If” Being Adapted To TV Series

One of the most interested adaptations of a Marvel Comics series will be coming to streaming platforms soon, and it’s an unexpected addition. Marvel Comics’ “What If” series is in the works to join Disney’s digital TV platform, and we could not be more excited about that news!

This scoop came from Slashfilm, who had this info corroborated by three unnamed sources.

The new animated show will be overseen by Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios, but the stories will not be canon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, just like the original comics.

It’s also not confirmed if the show will use any storylines from the comics for inspiration, except for Issue #47, which explored what would happen if Loki got Mjolnir instead of Thor.

“What If” comics began in 1977 and continue to this day in various forms. While the long-running series has been cancelled for a long time, it has seen resurgences sporadically over the past fifteen years.

Last month it was revealed that Jeph Loeb would be overseeing new Marvel series on the Hulu streaming service, including Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., Marvel’s Hit-Monkey, Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show, Marvel’s Howard the Duck,  and a crossover special Marvel’s The Offenders with a list of very talented writers and producers including Kevin Smith, Patton Oswalt, Chelsea Handler, Erica Rivinoja, Dave Willis, and more.
