NY Toy Fair 2017: ‘Mad Mattr’ by Relevant Play

Check out this interesting product I saw while wandering around during NY Toy Fair 2017. Made my Relevant Play, “Mad Mattr” (yup, it has no ‘E’ in the name) is a special building dough that never dries out, doesn’t stain clothes or carpets, and wheat, gluten, and casein free. Made in six colors, we get a demo from some of the booth reps about how this product works, including the very cool part about how these can be turned into Lego-style blocks to really change how you build with bricks.

Official Trailer Released For “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures”

Introducing new heroes and villains to the LEGO Star Wars universe, the animated television series “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures” will premiere MONDAY, JUNE 20 (10:00 a.m. EDT), on Disney XD. Set between the events of “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi,” the action comedy series follows the Freemakers, a family of sibling scavengers who operate a salvage and repair shop in space. The series will also feature familiar characters and locations from the filmed Star Wars saga.

Fans will get a sneak peek at the series during a special live-stream “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Battle of the Bricks” event tomorrow, Saturday, June 11 (8:00 p.m. EDT). Presented by Disney XD (https://www.youtube.com/user/disneyxd), YouTube stars (EvanTubeRaw, Parker Games, 101 Dark Monkey, ZexyZek ) and LEGO enthusiasts will gather in teams to determine the galaxy’s BRICK BUILDING CHAMPION. Instagram celebrity, Zach King will host, and a panel of LEGO Master Builders will judge the showdown.

“LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures” is an all-new animated television series that introduces new heroes and villains in exciting adventures with many familiar Star Wars characters, vehicles and locations from across the Star Wars saga. The fun-filled, half-hour series combines the excitement, action and adventure of a galaxy far, far away with a dose of LEGO’s signature brick-building humor.

Set between the events of “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi,” the series stars the Freemakers, a family of sibling scavengers who operate a salvage and repair shop in space and scour the galaxy for useful debris to build new vehicles of their own design. Rowan Freemaker, the spunky Force-sensitive 12-year-old with a thirst for adventure, is voiced by newcomer Nicolas Cantu. His quick-witted older sister, Kordi, voiced by Vanessa Lengies (“Glee”), manages the family business and is the glue that holds the family together. Ace pilot and charming rogue Zander, voiced by Eugene Byrd (“Arrow”), is the oldest brother and the family’s self-proclaimed starship connoisseur. Lucasfilm’s Matthew Wood voices R0-GR, also known as Roger, a refurbished battle droid from the Clone Wars adopted by the Freemaker family.

The humorous and action-packed tale of good versus evil begins when Rowan discovers the Kyber Saber, an ancient artifact with a powerful connection to the Force. Their world is turned upside down as they are thrown into an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy. Throughout their adventures, the Freemakers learn the true value of what it means to be a family.
