NY Toy Fair 2019 Review

We were at NY Toy Fair 2019, and saw a ton of things. Here is our review and discussion of some of the things we saw, what we liked, what we didn’t like, best surprises and biggest disappointments!

Check out the video below:

Some of the highlights include our looks at booths from NECA, Super7, Mezco, McFarlane Toys, Diamond Select, DC Collectibles, Playmobil, and more. Plus, discussion on what happened to action figures for girls, the retro gaming arcade craze with a look at four different booths making them, and some of our favorite indy booths.

Quick note: We had the wrong price for the Super Impulse Micro Arcade. We said it would be $11 but that is the wholesale price – retail will be $19.99 – 24.99.

‘Marvel Legends Deadpool’ Action Figure Review

The merc with a mouth had one of the most highly anticipated (and highly sought after) figures of 2016. Hasbro’s Marvel Legends lineup was strong enough this year without him, but this epic incarnation of Deadpool was sold out all over the place and took some serious hunting to find.

Was he worth the high bounty placed on his head by collectors, or is this Deadpool not worth the search? Spoilers: It’s amazing.

Check out the video review to find out how awesome this figure is.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2’ first wave of figures revealed

‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2’ is sneaking up on us fast, and the new action figures are also just around the corner.

The Nerdist has the scoop on this one, with images of the line-up as well as the build-a-figure that you can have once you purchase all of the figures in the wave. Check out the images in the gallery below:

The line includes Star-Lord, Drax, and Yondu from the new movie, as well as other Marvel characters like Darkhawk, Major Victory AKA Vance Astro, Nova (who had a previous version of this character in the last GotG line), and Angela. The BAF in this line is Titus, who I will admit I know very little about but now want to know everything about.

This first wave will arrive in the Spring, with the remaining figures to be in additional waves closer to the release of the film. This should include Gamora, Rocket Raccoon (who will likely have a Baby Groot with him), and hopefully the newly revealed Mantis.
