Mattel showed off many brand new items in their booth during NY Toy Fair, including more dolls from their Superhero Girls line, a new Imaginext Batcave, 12″ True Moves Batman figures, and six-inch figures with in-scale Bat-Cycle and Batmobile from “Batman: Night Missions,” as well as more adult collector Batman action figures with a build-a-figure Clayface.

Make way for the DC Super Hero Girls! Originally seen at NYCC 2015, Mattel made the formal unveiling at NY Toy Fair 2016 at their Matty Collector event, with additional items at their actual Mattel booth inside the Javits center.
Above are the dolls and action figures shown during the Matty Collector press event, which includes articulated versions of Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman and Batgirl, along with 12-inch dolls of those plus Bumblebee and Poison Ivy.
At the Mattel booth, we got a tour of the entire line, which also includes some roleplay items and an awesome playset for the action figures. This is a great looking line that I hope does well and expands into a very huge series. I am also very happy that 2016 seems to be the year that Mattel is making big leaps forward in recognizing their female fan base and making action figures that are truly for everyone.

Mezco celebrates one of Batman’s deadliest but most beautiful foes; Poison Ivy. Since her initial appearance in 1966, Poison Ivy has blossomed into one of Batman’s most popular nemisis. Although a member of the rouges gallery, she has also grown to represent environmental concerns as well as the feminist movement.
Now Ivy fans can carry her with them wherever they go with this fashionable clip on. Suitable for hanging on a backpack or carrying keys, each clip on features an articulated Poisy Ivy Mez-Itz figure with multiple points of articulation.
Like any exotic bloom, Poison Ivy is only in season for a short time. Get her while you can at at this link here, but don’t delay because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Be sure to visit Mezco at San Diego Comic Con at booth 3445.
Every year, “Square Enix” is one of my favorite booths at NY Toy Fair, and 2013 was no different.
Bringing out a huge amount of prototypes, both painted and unpainted, Square Enix had so much new stuff to look at that it was mind boggling. This is one of those articles where it is best to just go through all of the pics rather than have me ramble about them! New figures this year included new “Metal Gear”, Street Fighter x Tekken, Halo, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, DC: Injustice, and Batman toys from “Arkham City” and Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy, as well others from a few animes that I am not familiar with (but maybe you are). I love the articulation and appearance of these toys, and it makes me wish I was a multi-millionaire so I could scoop all of these up when they are released.
