According to Toy Ark, so far it seems it’s the cartoon versions of the Turtles, specifically the two-packs, but perhaps the movie turtles will soon join them. We will update this post once we have more info about additional lines headed across the globe.
Entertainment Weekly got the scoop on this one, giving us a video that gives us goosebumps every time we watch it.
And here is a bootleg trailer from Youtube that is easier to watch (until the official one is uploaded to that site):
Not only are we getting the ninja turtles and batman together, but we are also getting Batgirl and Damian, plus their rogues gallery of – to name a few – Ras Al Ghul, Harley Quinn, Bane, Me Freeze, Penguin, and The Joker. On top of that, OH HAI SHREDDER!
By the way, the cast for this movie is just as INSANE as this crossover!
Emmy winner Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace) leads the voice cast behind the Turtles as Raphael, accompanied by Saturday Night Live‘s Kyle Mooney as Michelangelo, Grace & Frankie‘s Baron Vaughn as Donatello, and The Woody Woodpecker Show‘s Eric Bauza as Leonardo.
John DiMaggio (Adventure Time) voices Mr. Freeze, Tara Strong (Teen Titans Go!) voices both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) voices Penguin, Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911!) voices Bane, Cas Anvar (The Expanse) voices Ra’s al Ghul, Keith Ferguson (Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends) voices Baxter Stockman and Two-Face, Andrew Kishino (The Lion Guard) voices Shredder, and Meskimen voices another character with Scarecrow.
“Batman VS Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” will be released through Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack this spring.
The film will have its world premiere at WonderCon Anaheim 2019 on March 31, 2019.
Check out all the new toys we saw at NECA’s booth during NY Toy Fair 2019. Featured here are toys from Karate Kid, Golden Girls, It, Alien: Resurrection, Halloween, Alien VS Predator, Friday the 13th, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Godzilla (classic and new movie), and more.
We also did two live streams with them of everything in the booth (including some things not shown here) – one on Saturday during the show, and another the following day with a booth rep (video quality is rough in that one, but audio is very good and informative).

Toy Fair is just ONE day away, but that hasn’t stopped companies from doing big reveals less than 24 hours away from the event. Case in point, NECA just revealed the look of their Target exclusive two-packs, featuring the cartoon versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
All images via The Fwoosh, who have many more great photos of the figures loose as well as the backs and sides of the boxes:
The four two packs each include one of the four Ninja Turtles, one villain figure, and a bunch of accessories. They will be available only in US Target stores, with a MSRP of $50.00 each.
The only difference between the SDCC 2017 release of these figures and the re-release here (outside of packaging and cost), is that these sets will not include the larger piece of pizza or pizza box from the original set.
Other than that, the figures themselves are completely identical to the product from 2017.
The TMNT two-packs are expected to arrive in stores late February/ early March. In other words, way sooner than expected!
Hopefully, Target handles distribution of these figures better than Gamestop has done with their TMNT 1990 movie figures. I am hoping the slightly higher price point scares off scalpers from going too hard. My main concern about finding these is just whether or not stores will know to have enough stock, especially since this is a two-pack, meaning it will take up more shelf space. That could be it’s undoing, so Turtle fans/ toy collectors will need to make a real show of force to Target and let them know we want more stuff like this in their aisles.
Randy Falk from NECA spoke with The Fwoosh, and added that if these did well, there was a strong chance the line could expand to feature more characters. I think it’s about time we get a NECA April O’ Neil! What do you think?
Based on the Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics miniseries by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II, the film will see the turtles meeting Batman via a transdimensional encounter, and feature our heroes teaming up to face Batman’s deadly rogues gallery.
This is the first time these worlds have collided in animation, but the two have met before in that aforementioned crossover comic between IDW and DC Comics from 2015.
The film’s voice cast features Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham Origins) as both Batman and The Joker (making him the first actor to ever take on both roles in one project), Darren Criss (the Emmy winning star of The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story) as Raphael, Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live) as Michelangelo, Baron Vaughn (Grace and Frankie) as Donatello, Eric Bauza (The Woody Woodpecker Show) as Leonardo, Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Batgirl, Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants) as The Penguin, John DiMaggio (Adventure Time) as Mr. Freeze, Tara Strong (The Powerpuff Girls) as both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911!) as Bane, and Cas Anvar (The Expanse) as Ra’s al Ghul.
Knowing the cast does give us a bit more info about plot details, especially since we have five villains for the heroic group to deal with. How they all tie together remains to be seen.
Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will arrive on 4K, Blu-ray, and Digital late this spring.
With NY Toy Fair looming on the horizon, some companies have already begun making big reveals. Mezco has been doing it for the past few weeks, teasing a new Jack Torrance Living Dead Doll and a new One:12 Captain Marvel figure based on Brie Larson’s look in the new movie.
NECA has now joined the reveals, debuting on their Facebook a long-anticipated and equally long teased 18-inch Shredder action figure! Based on his look in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie from 1990, this figure was definitely worth the wait!
Check out the photo gallery below:
Not only does Shredder come with a variety of weapons and different removable hands, his face mask is also removable, giving us a glimpse of the man under the metal mask. Plus, his cape is removable, and can I just say – that cape always bothered me. It just looked like a trash bag hanging off his shoulders. Definitely looks much better here.
The big question is will The Shredder and the movie-style Foot Clan ninja join their 7″ brethren and be made into smaller action figures too? One can only hope, and seeing as how the TMNT movie figures are hitting mainstream stores like Gamestop, perhaps that’s a positive step forward in making these less exclusive [to conventions] and more accessible to everyone.
