This is a tremendous announcement with a lot of cool items, and there is still plenty more to be revealed at NY Toy Fair next week. As for the look of these figures, it is definitely a hit or miss with them. The “Alien” line worked well because it was based on pre-existing figures that were never made and had a demand behind them. These figures are an interesting concept, but the execution may turn off some collectors from purchasing a great deal of these. However, the nostalgic look combined with the particular licenses they acquired should attract plenty of eyes and wallets to them, since they do have a unique charm with their appearance. Time will tell how successful they are, but I hope it survives for a while so we can see what else comes out of it.
