WWE Retro Shinsuke Nakamura Figure Review

Yeeaoh! Today we check out the Shinsuke Namakura retro figure from Mattel. Based on the classic Hasbro WWF toys from the 1990’s, these retro style figures feature action features just like the originals. Nakamura comes with a “Kinshasha” kicking action! Is the figure worth picking up or should you kick it to the curb? Watch the video to find out!

Bret Hart and Shinsuke Nakamura Announced As Wave 2 of “WWE Ultimate Editon” Figures

Wrestlemania 35 is days away, and the wrestling world is going insane – especially on the East Coast! WWE Axxess is just about ready to get started, where Mattel will be unveiling many new action figures. Things just kicked off as the company revealed their second line of “WWE Ultimate Edition” figures, with the addition of Bret “The Hitman” Hart and Shinsuke Nakamura joining the series.

Check out photos below of both figures!

Bret, with his splatter paint outfit from the 90’s, will come with three different heads, which appear to have slots on the sides to put his signature sunglasses on.

I’m still not a fan of the hair that they have given Bret, especially since it looks like overcooked black pasta trickling down his forehead. I want this figure and will own it, but I do wish Mattel would do something about his hair to make it look a little less peculiar.

He also comes with eight hands, and a second set of arms and torso that combine to make his leather jacket look.

Nakamura will come with three different head sculpts, and six hands, as well as a spare torso and set of arms so he can wear his red jacket.

These are easily the best face sculpts we have seen for either wrestler, and getting three new heads with one figure is amazing. My only concern is the five ‘o’ clock shadow for both of them, since Mattel has been having trouble as of late with facial hair. I’ve avoided purchasing any of the new Seth Rollins Elite figures because the beards have all been terribly painted – no matter how many times I find him. I hope that since these are “Ultimate” editions, more care will be given with how paint is applied.

I was a big fan of the most recent Nakamura elite figure, and I am very excited for this version, although part of me wishes he came with another jacket since he has so many – but beggars can’t be choosers.

No release date has been announced yet for these, but I would expect them out by late summer or the fall of this year.

Stay tuned, as more WWE figure reveals are bound to happen over the next few days!

Braun Strowman WWE Retro Series 8 – Action Figure Review

It’s time to get these hands and check out Braun Strowman from Mattel’s WWE Retro Figures Series 8.

This retro figure includes his powerslam action feature, and was en route to being one of my favorite figures from the line. That quickly got derailed due to some quality control issues. Check out the video to see what I am talking about.

WWE and Topps To Make “Garbage Pail Kids” Wrestlers

If you like being grossed out, then you probably owned a few Garbage Pail Kids trading cards at some point. Time has treated these grotesque Cabbage Patch kids well, as they continue to thrive with new cards, toys, and other merch. Today, they take part in a surprising new official collaboration with the biggest sports entertainment company in the world.

WWE is teaming with Topps to make WWE Garbage Pail Kids, which will include current superstars as well as Legends. The product line will run the gamut of clothes, cards, and perhaps more.

A new line of WWE/ GPK T-shirts and hats will be available on WWEShop.com and Spencer’s.

WWE Shop will offer T-shirts for Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, John Cena, Seth Rollins and The Miz as “GPKs.”

WWE x GPK tees with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, The Undertaker, The Ultimate Warrior and Andre the Giant will be available at Spencer’s starting March 21.

Collectible trading card packs will also be available for ordering on Topps.com, starting March 12.

Here is the official checklist of who will be in the pack of 13 cards:

1. Gigantic ANDRE
2. Breakin’ BECKY
3. C-Thru CENA
4. Savage RANDY
5. Mixed-Up MICK
6. Mouthy MIZ & Maryse
7. Slick RICK
8. Rowdy RONDA
9. Brawlin’ ROLLINS
10. Seething STEVE
11. Chipped ROCK
12. Unravelled WARRIOR
13. Undead TAKER

I am definitely curious to see how the other wrestlers will look after they get the GPK treatment, and am digging the preview they have shown us. They also seem fairly up to date since they include Ronda and Becky Lynch with her “Man” gimmick. Heck, they even have Miz and Maryse’s baby in a card!

Will you be picking these up when they are released tomorrow?

Liv Morgan WWE Figure Revealed at Vegas Toy Con 2019

The Riott Squad is one wrestler closer to completion, as WWE fans were excited to see another member of the pro wrestling stable unveiled.

The figure was unveiled at Vegas Toy Con this past weekend, where many of the WWE figures we saw on display at NY Toy Fair 2019 were brought out once more. A new addition joined the roster at this event, as Bill revealed on Instagram the new Elite Liv Morgan figure:

This will be the first ever action figure for Morgan.

Liv will be part of Elite series 69, and Bill added “Is it the only one?”, leading some to believe Liv will have the chase figure in this series. This may mean Liv will have two different figures in the same wave, a very cool surprise if true.

Morgan will be available exclusively at Target in late Summer.

Ruby Riott has already been released as part of Target’s NXT line, although she will be part of an upcoming WWE Elite line as well very soon. A Sarah Logan figure was teased at SDCC some time ago, so look for that later this year as well.
