Ultra Street Fighter 4 Is On Its Way

Capcom’s critically-acclaimed Street Fighter IV series is set to see its next installment with Ultra Street Fighter IV. Staying on par with the near non-stop action the series is known for, five new characters (Elena, Rolento, Poison and Hugo already announced[their trailers are at the end of this article]), and six new stages have been added to the mix, with rebalanced gameplay and original modes including an improved team battle and online training.

Even better more, if you weren’t much of a fan of the balance changes of the previous installments, Ultra Street Fighter IV will offer an edition select option in the character select screen.  So if your favorite character has been toned down for newer installments, it won’t be an issue anymore.

Available via retail, full download, or digital upgrade (for SSFIV and SSFIV: AE owners), users who purchase the retail or full download version will also receive all previous costume DLC released for the series (a $40 value), making this the definitive version of Street Fighter IV to check out if you haven’t already.

Ultra Street Fighter IV is set for release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for June of 2014, and August of 2014 for PC.

Latest Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen video reveals the Sorcerer’s tricks

As a Sorcerer in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, players will get to cast an array of high level magic spells as they make their way through the underground realm. Check out the latest video we have posted here to see how the Sorcerer and his party fare against the Poisoned Undead, Banshees and the imposing Gold and Silver Knights.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen includes all of the content from the original Dragon’s Dogma plus a whole new underground realm for gamers to explore. Owners of the original game will be able to export their existing save data to continue their journey as the Arisen, while those new to the series can begin their Dragon’s Dogma experience afresh. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be available from April 23 in North America and across Europe on April 26.

Darkstalkers: Resurrection Launches tomorrow

The beloved Darkstalkers fighting game franchise is back and ready to take the fight to current gen consoles. Ubisoft Officially Announces Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag

Today, Ubisoft officially announced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the next installment in the company’s best-selling franchise. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag introduces an all new hero and setting, which Ubisoft boasts will feature the most diverse and seamless Assassin’s Creed world ever created.
In development for nearly two years, the game is being spearheaded by one of the veteran Assassin’s Creed teams in Ubisoft Montreal with support from Ubisoft studios in Annecy, Bucharest, Kiev, Quebec, Singapore and Sofia.  Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag will be released on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation 4 from Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., Nintendo’s Wii U system, Windows PC and other next generation consoles. The game will be available on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation3 computer entertainment system, and Nintendo’s Wii U system on October 29, 2013.
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag tells the story of Edward Kenway, a young British man with a thirst for danger and adventure, who falls from privateering for the Royal Navy into piracy as the war between the major Empires comes to an end. Edward is a fierce pirate and seasoned fighter who soon finds himself embroiled in the ancient war between Assassins and Templars. Set at the dawn of the 18th Century, the game features some of the most infamous pirates in history, such as Blackbeard and Charles Vane, and takes players on a journey throughout the West Indies during a turbulent and violent period of time later to become known as the Golden Age of Pirates.
Gameplay in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is based upon the franchise’s proven tenets. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag features a vast open world with more than 50 navigable locations. Combat combines the weaponry of the Assassin’s Order with armaments of the era, and rewards both daring and stealth. And the series’ acclaimed multiplayer experience is more varied than ever in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.
Customers who purchase Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag on PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 can download 60 minutes of additional gameplay via the PlayStation Network after the game’s launch.
Customers who pre-order Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag at GameStop will receive a Limited Edition collectible poster featuring artwork created by legendary, award-winning artist Todd McFarlane. On the back of the poster is a map of the New World with clues leading to hidden secrets within Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.
Collector’s Editions of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag will be available in the EMEA region. More details will be unveiled by the end of March.

Rayman Legends announed for xBox 360 and Playstation 3

Today, Ubisoft announced that its forthcoming title Rayman Legends, already announced for the Wii UTM system from Nintendo, will also be released on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. All versions now will hit shelves in early September 2013.

The Microsoft Xbox 360® and Sony PlayStation® 3 versions of Rayman Legends are being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the same team behind the Nintendo Wii UTM game. Rayman Legends has been praised for its visuals and gameplay by media around the world and labeled as one of the most anticipated platformers of 2013.

Rayman Legends retains the fantasy appeal of its predecessor while adding a multitude of gaming modes, new characters, new environments and a new soundtrack. The award-winning team of artists, designers and composers from Origins has also returned with an advanced UbiArt engine to include multi-dimension gameplay elements, an improved lighting system and updated game rendering Ubisoft boasts will elevate Rayman’s graphics to the next level.

CAPCOM CONFIRMS RESIDENT EVIL® REVELATIONS FOR HOME CONSOLE RELEASE IN MAY 2013

Capcom today confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations will release at retail for the Xbox 360 , PlayStation 3 , and Nintendo’s Wii U across North America on May 21 and Europe on May 24, 2013. The title will also be available to download digitally on PS3 and Windows PC for $49.99 on May 21, with digital versions for Xbox 360 and Wii U system to follow.

Capcom boasts the originally 3DS title will be redefined for home consoles complete with high quality HD visuals, enhanced lighting effects and an immersive sound experience. Furthermore, the home console version will deliver additional content including a new enemy, extra difficulty mode and improvements to Raid Mode such as new weapons, skill sets and the opportunity to play as Hunk and other characters from the series. Raid Mode, which was first introduced to the series in the original version of Resident Evil Revelations, sees gamers play online in co-op mode or alone in single player taking on the hordes of enemies across a variety of missions while leveling up characters and earning weapon upgrades.

The critically acclaimed survival horror title takes players back to the events that took place between Resident Evil®4 and Resident Evil®5, revealing the truth about the T-Abyss virus. Resident Evil Revelations features series favorites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, plus their respective BSAA partners – Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat.  The action begins on board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship, the ‘Queen Zenobia’, where horrors lurk around every corner before players head for the mainland and the devastated city of Terragrigia. With limited ammo and weapons available, the race is on to survive the horror of Resident Evil Revelations.

Resident Evil Revelations will take full advantage of Residentevil.net with content available to users once the game launches. Players can pre-register on the service from January 24 to gain early access to Resident Evil Revelations themed content with further information about online events to be revealed closer to launch.

NerdNewsToday Presents a New Let’s Play Series Featuring Halo 4 and Xenoblade Chronicles

NerdNewsToday has teamed up with the new Let’s Play series Monday Morning Mooks to bring you people playing video games and complaining.

Monday Morning Mooks is a new web series updated daily that plays games, both new and classic, and discusses elements of game design and what they mean to the game development world at large.

They also make poop jokes.

Remember Me is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories.

Set for release for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC, developed by Paris based DONTNOD Entertainment, and scheduled for release by Capcom in May of 2013.

Capcom announces new IP: Remember Me

Capcom showed off quite a few highly anticipated games at their gamescom press conference like playable demos of DmC (Devil May Cry), Lost Planet 3, Resdient Evil 6 and Tekken x Street Fighter for the PSVita, but amongst those titles was a new one; Remember Me.

In Remember Me, players will take control of the game’s protagonist, Nilin, an elite memory hunter who isn’t only extremely athletic and trained in combat, but will also have the ability to invade minds to steal or alter a person’ memories. When Nilin’s own memories are erased, she begins her journey to reclaim her identity and discovers she can change the world.

Remember Me is going to be a third person action/adventure game set for release for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC, which is developed by Paris based DONTNOD Entertainment, and scheduled for release in May of 2013.
