Three New Cast members Join New “Star Trek” Picard Series – Pill, Treadaway, and Briones

While it’s still a long time away, the upcoming Star Trek Picard series has just added three new members to its growing cast.

CBS All Access announced today that Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, and Isa Briones have joined the cast for the unnamed Picard-centric Trek show (which is not called “Star Trek: Picard”).

They join previously-announced cast members Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd and Evan Evagora. While he has not been announced as reviving the role of Riker (just yet), Jonathan Frakes has been tabbed to direct at least one episode of the show.

Alison Pill has been on Broadway in the Tony-nominated production of Three Tall Women, and has appeared in “Miss Sloane”, “Hail Caesar!”, “Snowpiercer”, “Scott Pilgrim”, “American Horror Story: Cult”, and “The Newsroom” to name a few of her film and TV appearances.

Harry Treadaway recently finished filming season four of the Sony Pictures Television for Netflix series “The Crown”, and has also been in “Penny Dreadful” and “The Lone Ranger”.

Isa Briones just wrapped with the First National Touring Company of Hamilton, and has appeared on TV in “American Crime Story: Versace” and “Next to Normal”.

Their roles remain a mystery, much like the other actors who have been cast to appear on the show. Not much else is known about the series yet, but we do know a table reading from Patrick Stewart brought the show runners to tears.

The Picard series does not have an official release date, but is expected to come out in 2021.
