Amazon.com gets Playstation Network Store

The title of this post basically says all you need to know, but here are some details for those of you with an inquisitive nature.

Online superstore, Amazon.com, has partnered with Sony to open up their own Playstation Network store, where you can buy digital copies of games and downloadable content for your PS3, PS4, or PS Vita. Some games are even available at a slight discount! Among the titles released on Amazon now are Batman: Arkham Origins, Assassin’s Creed IV, The Last of Us, Battlefield 4, Madden ’25 (AKA when will they stop), and FIFA ’14, with plenty more available for pre-order.

For a limited time, purchase any title on this page and get a $5 promotional credit which can be applied against your next purchase from the Amazon PlayStation Network Store. Sadly, the credit must be used by 12/31/2014 (and cannot be used on Amazon.com Gift Cards or PlayStation Network Gift Cards), but on the upside, the credit will be automatically applied during checkout. Do you need any more of an incentive to blow some cash on this?

The site is currently being a bit wonky here and there since it just rolled out, but it is definitely something to consider. Conveniently, it hit right before the big holiday spending season, so it’s the perfect time to stock up on video games, awesome graphic novels, or Virtual Sports betting via William Hill iTunes app.
