“Asian-Americans in Comics” Panel from MoCA – Larry Hama, Jerry Ma & David Chun

Larry Hama, Jerry Ma, and David Chun took part in a special panel discussion at the Museum of the Chinese in America on September 19, 2019. During this panel, this trio of comic makers discussed how their Asian heritage affected what they made, representation in comics, and other key issues.

Larry also told many great stories about his ongoing career, including how he got started in the comics industry, creating the G.I. Joe Universe, the origins of the silent issue AKA G.I. Joe issue #21, and much more.

After the talk, all of the creators did their own live drawing of Snake Eyes!
