Blue Meanie Joins “Legends of Professional Wrestling” Action Figure Line
Figures Toy Company has released an image of a head sculpt for their upcoming “Legends of Professional Wrestling” line, which will feature six-inch versions of all sorts of wrestlers from different eras. Joining the first wave will be ECW & WWF alumni, The Blue Meanie.
The real Blue Meanie, Brian Heffron, spoke with UK Wrestling Figs about becoming an action figure:
I was fortunate to have a very hands on process with the great folks at Figures Toy Company. They allowed me to have say on the gear. Hair style and beard. I ultimately chose my gear from Wrestlepalooza 1998 but chose to have my current beard style. I’m BLOWN AWAY by the amount of detail I have seen so far. Everyone who has seen asked me if they scanned me with a laser. They were equally amazed when I tell them that it was hand sculpted. They pretty much nailed it right off the bat. I am very, very excited and flattered.
The Blue Meanie joins previously announced figures from this line as well as their “Rising Stars” line, and includes AJ Styles, Kenny Omega, Tama Tonga, Cliff Compton, Joey Ryan, and Chris Hero in the line-up, along with several others.
Coming out later this year will be Figures Toy Company’s first wave of “Ring of Honor” action figures, so it looks like 2016 will be a very pro-wrestling heavy year for the brand.
Blue Meanie is currently coaching at The Monster Factory Wrestling school Paulsboro, NJ, and still actively wrestles. In 2014, he was inducted into ECW’s Hardcore Hall of Fame.
