Marvel’s “Inhumans” Movie Still Happening, But No Plans For How

Marvel Studios had planned an “Inhumans” movie as part of their Phase 3 plan initially in 2014, but years later, fans still have no idea when the movie will come to fruition. According to Kevin Feige, the movie is still on, but there is a major problem that needs resolving.

During a recent interview with Empire, Feige said it’s not a matter of if they’ll make Inhumans happen, but when. The main issue seemed to be timing and how this film would fit into the world they have created, as he explained:

The only situation right now is that [Inhumans] is not gonna be a part of Phase 3 because Phase 3 increased in a very good way since we initially announced. When and where and how it pops up remains to be seen, but it’s characters we love, it’s a storyline we love, and we just didn’t want to cram it into an already quite full Phase 3.

It sounds like Marvel needs to do a little rethinking when it comes to Inhumans, and how to integrate them into the giant universe they have built. Many thought “Agents of SHIELD” would help tie them into the world, and that still might ultimately happen, but it remains to be seen how those storylines will wrap up before we see if they become a part of the cinematic universe.
