New York Toy Fair 2013: “Tonner” brings out dolls for “Hunger Games”, Marilyn Monroe & “A Christmas Story”

“Tonner” was at NY Toy Fair 2013, bringing out some new licensed items as well as their own original creations.

Shown off at their booth was their new dolls from “The Hunger Games” of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, & Liam Hemsworth, and Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer from “Warm Bodies”. Also standing tall was Kristin Stewart as “Bella” from the “Twilight” series. It’s amazing how the doll looks more lifelike than the person. “Tonner” also unveiled figures of James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, and a few others based on famous actors and actresses.

In terms of their original properties, Tonner brought out the “City Girls” series, a line of sophisticated looking and fashionable dolls for the fast-paced NYC lifestyle. The company also brought along “Maudlyne Macabre”, a gothic doll for the fans of creepy looking girls a la “Emily the Strange”.

“Tonner” also debuted a Ralphie doll from “A Christmas Story”, but since it was still pending licensor approval (as well as his BB gun because it will include that), no photos were permitted. I can tell you that this is one of “Tonner’s” best looking dolls to date and will make many fans very happy.
