Olympic Iceskater cosplays and skates to theme from “Cowboy Bebop”

A new bar has been put out there for skaters, as Canada’s Kevin Reynolds just competed in the 2016 Canadian National Figure Skating Championships to the theme from “Cowboy Bebop”, all while dressed as Spike Spiegel.

While the 25-year-old did not win first place, he still managed to get a hold of third place at the end of the night.

This is not the first time that this skater has used something nerdy as part of his program, having used music from The Legend of Zelda and Chrono Trigger a few years earlier.

Reynolds is the 2013 Four Continents champion, 2010 Four Continents bronze medalist, and a four-time Canadian national medalist (2012–14 silver, 2010 bronze). He is also the first skater to have landed two quadruple jumps in a short program, as well as the first to have landed five quadruple jumps in one competition. At the Olympics, he helped Team Canada win the silver medal and finished 15th in the men’s singles event.
