WATCH – Zoe Saldana time-lapse transformation into GotG’s Gamora
With modern technology, there is a lot that CGI can do for films in post-production. However, there is still plenty of room for practical effects in movie making, and here is a great example of that.
Zoe Saldana AKA Gamora in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” isn’t just getting greened in post. Each day of filming required her to sit in a make-up chair for a long time to allow a meticulous team of artists to transform the actress into her alien counterpart.
In a new video posted through her Twitter page, Saldana showed just how long it takes her makeup team to put together her complicated costume, cutting down a roughly three-hour long process into a mere 38-second time-lapse video:
Interesting side note- Dave Bautista’s transformation into Drax was whittled down into about a ninety-minute process since the first GotG movie, but Saldana’s time in the make-up chair remained over three hours like it was last time.
